Devising work demonstration
Work Demonstration workshop
Devising Work Demonstration is a workshop for movement artists looking to diversify the ways they share their work in parallel to performance, or theorists who might wish to physicalise their research. This workshop will assist artists in developing work demonstrations within and outside of performance settings, providing opportunities to engage with spaces such as educational institutions, community spaces and inter-disciplinary engagements.
The workshop provides movement artists with both tools and a testing ground to devise alternative formats for current or developing performances, as well as stretch artists’ understanding of their own material. Each workshop will facilitate a different approach to building a repertoire of work demonstrations, and can be taken individually or as a series. Participants are invited to bring their own performance or research material.
