Lizzy Tan is a dance artist and movement director based in London.

Lizzy's creative practice and solo performances centre on the philosophy of image and representations of the femme performing body, drawing upon queer and feminist literatures, literary criticism, art history and philosophy. As a movement director, Lizzy has worked with actors and choreographers, and has created several workshops on movement and image for Intercultural Roots. Lizzy is a Chisenhale Dance Space Activator.

Lizzy's recent projects incorporate dance, installation and livestream, including working with ‘found material’ online and in personal archives. Her solo works and shared practice have been selected for The Place's Resolution Festival,nAssembly Festival at the Edinburgh Fringe, London's VAULT Festival, Camden People's Theatre's 'Calm Down, Dear' Festival, Cohen New Works Festival and Dance Source Houston's 'Mind the Gap.'

As a performer, Lizzy has danced works by Ania Catherine and Judith Sanchez Ruiz, Charles O. Anderson, Erica Gionfriddo, Courtney Mazeika, Gregory Dolbashian, Andrea Beckham, Yacov Sharir, Ananya Chatterjea, Dr. Lorenzo 'Rennie' Harris, Kira Blazek and Oluwaseun Olayiwola. She has been a member of the University of Texas at Austin's Dance Repertory Theatre, Sidra Bell Dance New York’s MODULE, Intercultural Roots, and a guest artist at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

Lizzy received her BFA in Dance and BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. She holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
